    Application of the DC750V fuse

    This series of products are round tube Bolt install connection fuse, with small size, low I²t, high breaking ability characteristics and other characteristics. Applicable to frequency converter, rectifier, inverter, various types of power supply and other semiconductor equipment, and power battery, electric motor, capacitor, cable and equipment or component’s short-circuit and back-up protection. This product has good vibration resistance and flame retardant performance. Suitable for vibration environment applications such as rail transit and motor vehicles.

    Altitude

    Normal Use Condition

    Altitude is not more than 2000m.

    Allowable Use Condition

    2000m – 4500m.

    Altitude change parameter correction: High altitude mainly cause Insulation deterioration, Deterioration of heat dissipation conditions, Air pressure change.


    When altitude rise 100m, Fuse’s temperature rise 0.1-0.5k.

    When altitude rise 100m, ambient temperature drop around average 0.5k.

    Normal conditions, using Fuse in open environment, can neglect the altitude affect rated current, still use as standard condition. If it’s over 40°C, need to de-rating of rated current. When altitude rise 1000m, rated current de-rate 2% - 5%.

    Note: In same dimension series, the maximum rated current adopts a higher de-rating ratio, lower rated current uses lower de-rating ratio. Influence of altitude on air insulation strength (breakdown strength).


    Effect of Altitude on Air Dielectric Strength (Breakdown Strength)

    When the altitude rises, air insulation strength decreased. Among 2000 - 4500 meters, when altitude rises 1000m, rated current de-rate 12-15%. Reference to GB/T16935.1, Correct the insulation gap accordingly.

    The insulation distance between fuse terminals is generally much greater than GB/T16935.1, Table A1, and A2 Insulation gap required by standard. Except for individual fuses with smaller volume, no need to check insulation gap.

    Insulation gap between fuse belt and other live structures, and to ground, the user needs to consider the impact of altitude.
